MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2004 Jul 09 Observer(s): J. Halpern Institution(s): Columbia U. Instrument: Echelle CCD Direct Worked for 9 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 0.9 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing 0.9 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: This version corrects the previous one. A pretty good night, after some initial clouds. The seeing improved as well. Some brief problems with the tracking, but not bad enough to affect the observing plan. Commercial power dropped out at 5:00am while doing sky flats. UPS kicked in and was I able to work right through it.
