MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2004 Nov 12

Instrument: echelle direct + 2 in fw

Worked for 6 hours (off and on through the night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   High Humidity from 9PM until 1Am.
   Beg: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate
   Mid: Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable, humidity
   End: Clear, Winds Light & Variable, humidity late

Observing Summary:

Mixed conditions, clear at first, then closed due to humidity and
cloud, then nice again for a while, finally closing permanently
due to humidity.  Sharply cooler than last night, and telescope
drive is jumping intermittently in east (see trouble report). 

Holly saw (and squished!) two small scorpions in the control room
in a span of only 10 minutes!
