MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2004 Oct 11

Worked for 6 hours (off and on through the night)
Conditions were Overcast most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds from 02.30 until end.
   Beg: Clear, Winds Light & Variable
   Mid: Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate, High humidity !
   End: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable

Observing Summary:

Good news first : red side of CCD seems to work again (potentially 
effect of filling dewar in morning AND afternoon before observing?).

First half of night went extremely smoothly, then around midnight crash of IC and WC (cf. trouble report).
After fixing this, the grating had to be readjusted as it had moved apparently. 
Shortly afterwards brief problems with tracking (DEC encoders unresponsive for a while),
then unfortunately quite cloudy -> prolonging all exposures and focusing on objects towards
the west as here patches of clearer sky.

Humidity up to 70 %.
