MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2004 Sep 14 Observer(s): Paust Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Echelle Worked for 8 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Still some seeing problems tonight. I did get some images right at 1 arcsec for a target at a reasonable airmass. However, most of my targets were lower in the sky and seeing was generally around 1.5 arcsec. Just a lot of turbulence out there even though the wind wasn't as strong as last night. There were a few times when the humidity spiked, but it went back down before I had reason to close down the telescope. The tracking problem occurred once, early in the night. However, slewing fixed it and it did not reoccur. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2004 Sep 15 [6:20:25]
