MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2005 Dec 04

Worked for 12 hours (all night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds all night.
   Beg: Seeing 2 arcsec, Overcast, Winds Calm
   Mid: Seeing 2.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm
   End: Seeing 3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm

Observing Summary:

Very productive night, particularly considering the initial forecast.  We opened immediately, but there was a considerable amount of cloud cover in the early evening -- we even shut down for ~45 minutes when we established we could barely see Beteguese.  

The clouds then went away, however, and we spent the rest of the night observing candidate cluster stars without a hitch.  Seeing was not great, but the transparency was ok, and we had no mechanical or electronic issues.  Keeping our fingers crossed that it'll hold together that well tomorrow night...
