MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2005 Dec 14 Observer(s): Ajay Tannirkulam, Zhaohuan Zhu Institution(s): Michigan Instrument: TIFKAM Worked for 4 hours (first half of the night) Conditions were Overcast most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Overcast, Winds Calm Mid: Overcast, Winds Calm End: Overcast, Winds Calm Observing Summary: The sky was overcast. We did some differential photometry in the first half. Then the clouds became too thick. so we shut down early. In the begining of the night the primary was about 2 degress warmer than the dome ambient temperature. We had not set the temperature early enough for it to cool. We had some trouble with the telescope drives. The telescope would sometimes jerk by tens of arc seconds and lose the star. The problem was not reapeatable. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2005 Dec 15 [0:38:33]
