MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2005 Dec 23 Observer(s): Jules Halpern, Sudhi Tyagi Institution(s): Columbia U. Instrument: CCDS + Retrocam Worked for 13 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: Initial trouble with Prospero/Caliban was describe in an earlier trouble report. Things went fine after that, except that very poor seeing made it difficult to select suitable targets from the queue. Spectra of a few SNe were useful, and perhaps one QSO, but very few images were obtained. A couple of bright backup targets were observed. The archiving of these data will be delayed a bit since we have not yet gotten a complete set of calibrations for spectroscopy. The organizational requirements, in terms of file naming, exposure types and times, finding charts, and standard stars, for a number of different programs are daunting. But hey, we do have 2 weeks to get this straight. Happy holiday! ------------------------------ Submitted on 2005 Dec 24 [7:21:41]
