MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2005 Jan 05 Observer(s): Pietro Reviglio Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: echelle Worked for 10 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.7 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: The sky has been clear all night, humidity below 50% , no wind. We obtained Halpha and R imaging for 1 galaxy of our sample and the imaging for the calibrator star.We took morning flats. We refilled the dewer at 8 pm and at 7.30 am. We encountered problems with the pointing of the telescope. The telescope kept slewing and eventually it went close to its hard limit.
