MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2005 Jan 22 Observer(s): Chris Morgan Institution(s): The Ohio State University Instrument: RETROCAM - MODSPEC Worked for 6 hours (off and on through the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: High Humidity from 2000 until 0100. Beg: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: Partially cloudy skies and humidity hovering in the 80-90% region made for a very inefficient night. I opened up for one hour before midnight and five hours after midnight. Seeing was excellent: ~1.0 arcsec (when I had the dome open and there weren't clouds in the way). I observed three lensed quasars, fixed the RETROCAM lensed quasar guide star selection routine and measued the focus offset between MODSPEC and RETROCAM. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2005 Jan 23 [7:02:17] NOTE: This report replaces the previous 2.4m telescope observing report for 2005 Jan 22
