MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2005 Jul 01 Observer(s): Jules Halpern Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: Echelle CCD Direct Worked for 4 hours (off and on through the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Overcast, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.7 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: The night started off promising, with good seeing and a few clouds. But it quickly became mostly cloudy, with bad seeing. Only bright objects could be observed for the first two halves of the night. The third half was clearer, but the seeing was terrible.
