MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2005 May 06 Observer(s): Pietro REviglio Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: MKIII Worked for 4 hours (first half of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: High Humidity from 12 until 1.00. Beg: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Clear, Winds Calm, humidity > 85% End: Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: The observations have been limited both by the weather and by technical problems. The humidity went up above threshold after a few hours of observing. The telescope has been closed until the humidity got below threshold again. However, when the telescope has been turned on again, the RA and DEC encoders seemed to be not responding. In fact the telescope was not pointing correctly. Under those condition, no observations were possible in the second half of the night ------------------------------ Submitted on 2005 May 7 [3:06:52]
