MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2005 May 14 Observer(s): Chris Gerardy Institution(s): Imperial College London Instrument: TIFKAM Worked for 10 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing ~1 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Lots of cirrus early, becoming clearer as the night progessed. Pretty clear at dawn with some scattered clouds on the horizons. Science activities: IR spectroscopy & imaging of supernovae, CVs and a probable obscured AGN outburst. Also, I discovered an ex-mouse in the trap under the guider computer. I dicovered it with my nose, so it may have been there a while. Anyway, I sealed it, trap and all, in a Ziplock which is now in the bin near the workshop sink. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2005 May 15 [5:15:46]
