MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2005 May 23 Observer(s): Bonfield, Schawinski Institution(s): Oxford Instrument: TIFKAM Worked for 6 hours (off and on through the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 9 until 1. Beg: Seeing 0.9 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Overcast, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Initially we were able to observe targets through gaps in the clouds but after an hour or so all the sky was obscured. After waiting for a couple of hours we finally found a target for which we could obtain a guide star, and from then on the sky grew clearer. Seeing seemed better tonight than on the past couple of nights, but most observations in the later part of the night were through cloud, making it worse. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2005 May 24 [4:44:20]
