MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2005 Nov 18 Observer(s): S. Lepine Institution(s): AMNH Instrument: Direct + Echelle Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing ~2.0 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate End: Seeing ~2.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Conditions were relatively good, with only small patches of thin cirrus clouds at the start of night. Seeing was however extremely variable, from 1.2 arcsec at times to almost 3.0 arcsec at others. When the seeing became unsuitable for the main program (parallax) I followed a backup program of Halpha nebula imaging. Frustratingly, the seeing improved sharply just before sunrise. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2005 Nov 19 [6:53:29]
