MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2006 Apr 05

Worked for 7 hours (part of the night)
Conditions were Overcast most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds from 10pm until 2am.
   Beg: Seeing 2.0 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate
   Mid: Overcast, Winds Moderate
   End: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate

Observing Summary:

The 'usual' pointing problem : telescope gets stuck at random points,
and rocks back and forth....circumvented that by using 'different
paths' method (i.e. slewing by hand to other position, then start from there).

Seeing and haze towards SE horizon at end of night caused guider to fail a couple 
of times --> needed to guide by hand for a while.
