MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2006 Apr 10 Observer(s): Frank Institution(s): OSU Instrument: MDM8K Worked for 5 hours (part of the night) Bad weather most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: High Humidity from 2am until end. Beg: Overcast, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate End: Clear, Winds Light & Variable, RH > 85 % in dome Observing Summary: After the huge cloud system that had plagued as for a while finally had moved through (in fact, we were lucky to be on the Western side of it!), observing began at 21.00 local time. No problems with telescope or equipment encountered. Observed NGC2403 & M81, then switched over to the Bootes Field Monitoring. By about 08:45 UT, the humidity reached dangerous levels - decided to close down...decision reinforced twenty minutes later, when a quick check revealed moisture buliding up on the car windows. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2006 Apr 11 [22:52:52]
