MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2006 Aug 25 Observer(s): Ajay Tannirkulam Institution(s): Michigan Instrument: Templeton Worked for 1.5 hours (last half of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Mid: Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm, high humidity End: Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: It was pretty cloudy from 18:00-21:00 hrs. There was thuderstorm at around 21:30 hrs. I did a lightning shutdown. The storm dissipated in half an hour but the humidity began to rise. The dome humidity stayed at about the 95% level till 2.30 am after which it began to drop. The dome humidity remained higher than the outside humidity by 15% despite all louvers being open. I also had the dome fan on but it did not help. The dome humidity fell to a safe level at 4.00 am. I could observe from 4.00-5.30 am. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2006 Aug 26 [5:37:57]
