MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2006 Dec 22 Observer(s): Jules Halpern Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: CCDS / RETROCAM Worked for 1.0 hours (first half of the night) Conditions were Overcast most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Very bad weather all night. Beg: Seeing 1.6 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable End: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Despite afternoon snow and fog, got suckered into opening at 8:45pm after KPNO opened their domes. I had enough time to zero coordinates and focus, but it quickly clouded over again, and the small amount of science data acquired on old GRBs are likely to be useless. Since the humidity is now 96% (at 1:30am) and overcast, and I can't even walk outside without sliding on ice, I am giving up and going to bed. This means that I will be back in communication by noon. Even though I would rather be sleeping then, I'm sure that I will not be able to. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2006 Dec 23 [1:29:15]
