MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2006 Dec 31 Observer(s): Statler, Wilhelm Institution(s): Ohio Univ. Instrument: Direct/Echelle Worked for 9.5 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 11:00 until dawn. Beg: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 0.8 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 0.6 arcsec, Overcast, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Opened on time, continued with photometry of near Earth asteroids until thick bands of cirrus rolled in around 2:30 AM. Picked up about 0.5 hour more between cirrus bands, but eventually gave up around 5:00 AM in pretty thick overcast.
