MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2006 Feb 02

Worked for 5 hours (first half of the night)
Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds all night.
   Beg: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable
   Mid: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable
   End: Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable

Observing Summary:

Increasing clouds through the night; over 2 mags of extinction
by 1 AM. Strictly non-photometric conditions. Telescope behaved well.
8k CCD has issues in chip #4 (charge transfer?). 
Data backup using  tar  to a file hung up twice. However, backup
onto DVD worked fine.
