MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2006 Jan 12 Observer(s): John Thorstensen, Chris Peters Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: echelle CCD direct + 2in FW Worked for 13.5 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 0.9 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 0.9 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Excellent night, cirrusy to start but then photometric (nearly full moon so easy to tell). Seeing was always decent and often spectacular, down to 0.7 arcsec in some exposures. It was a little warmer than last night which may have helped. If it had been dark, it would have been perfect! CV and LSPM parallax observations, a quick stab at SDSS1004 (lensed QSO, for Chris K.) and 3C279 (for Markus Boettcher). ------------------------------ Submitted on 2006 Jan 13 [7:31:50]
