MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2006 Mar 04 Observer(s): Peeples, Molly Institution(s): Ohio State Instrument: 8k Worked for 12 hours (off and on through the night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 0.65 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Good night except for instrument issues (guider and 8k) ... Observed NGC2403 at the beginning of the night. Guider wouldn't guide. Doekkun visited from the 1.3-m to help troubleshoot. Lost about an hour and a half trying to fix the guider; finally decided to use only the South camera. Then observed the Bootes field some (a lot) until I realized that in the guiding fun I hadn't changed filters. Then the DetCom crashed. Doekkun came to visit again. Lost another two hours fixing that. Finished the night observing Bootes field in correct filter. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2006 Mar 5 [6:52:34]
