MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2006 Mar 07 Observer(s): Peeples, Molly Institution(s): Ohio State Instrument: 8k Worked for 7 hours (first half of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: High Humidity all night. Beg: Seeing 0.7 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate End: Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: What a lovely night of watching the humidity rise and the temperature flirt with the dew point. Eventually things got to close for comfort (actually, it went from nice and clear to not being able to see any stars on a focus frame in about fifteen minutes, even though the humidity, dew point, and temperature had all been relatively constant for a while...). Closed the dome around 2:40, and as the humidity is now 90% and still climbing, this was probably a good decision.... Observed NGC2403, M81, and the Bootes field before grinding to a halt. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2006 Mar 8 [4:13:25]
