MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2006 May 15 Observer(s): Sebastien Lepine Institution(s): AMNH Instrument: Direct + echelle Worked for 9 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 0.9 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: The high clouds prevalent in the afternoon miraculously dissipated at sunset. Observations were carried out from 9pm onwards. With that some excellent seeing, around 1.0 arcsec most of the night, very well suited to our parallax program. Also obtained UBVRI photometry of SN2006X, by request of Arlin Crotts. Uneventful night overall, with high clouds showing up again, but only shortly before sunrise. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2006 May 16 [5:35:32]
