MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2006 Nov 08 Observer(s): L. Watson Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS and Retrocam Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 0.9-2 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 1.6 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: On the afternoon of 11/08, B. Barr corrected the CCDS readout pattern, at least for now. We still don't know exactly what causes the problem, but what seems to have solved it this time was Bob securing the HE power plug. I had a few pretty minor problems with the telescope getting stuck and then decideing to move on its own. I've described these in the trouble report. It was pretty windy last night and this made the seeing quite variable. There were a few clouds that passed during the middle of the night. I observed five SDSS supernova, three CSP supernova, and four lenses. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2006 Nov 9 [7:00:13]
