MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2006 Oct 10

Worked for 10 hours (all night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds all night.
   Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm
   Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm
   End: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm

Observing Summary:

We had some problems with the new 50 l/mm grating in the afternoon,
(see the trouble report) and decided to switch back to the 
150 l/mm grating before the sun set.

There were cirrus on the horizon all night, and a little overhead.
Around 3 am the sky was completely covered in cirrus, but it
cleared shortly thereafter.

The seeing and focus were highly variable throughout the night (0.9-1.5 ).
