MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2006 Oct 10 Observer(s): Prieto & Eastman Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS + Retrocam Worked for 10 hours (all night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Observing Summary: We had some problems with the new 50 l/mm grating in the afternoon, (see the trouble report) and decided to switch back to the 150 l/mm grating before the sun set. There were cirrus on the horizon all night, and a little overhead. Around 3 am the sky was completely covered in cirrus, but it cleared shortly thereafter.
