MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2006 Sep 23 Observer(s): Sharma, Statler and McCowan Institution(s): Ohio University Instrument: 8k CCD Worked for 7 hours (off and on through the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 11PM until 1AM. Beg: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Evening started off with grey clouds scattered across the sky. We managed to get sky flats, and start observing one target galaxy group. Soon, a blanket of clouds made the guide star invisible; we lost about 1.5 hours here. Sky then cleared for about 1.5 hours, then clouded over for over 2 hours. When it cleared partly, we observed two more groups, until twilight started around 5:20AM. Fortunately, the humidity levels were well below what they were last evening. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2006 Sep 24 [6:14:49]
