MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2006 Sep 24 Observer(s): Sharma, Statler, & McCowan Institution(s): Ohio University Instrument: 8k CCD Worked for 11 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Evening started out promising but didn't quite live up to it :( Still, we managed to get hours of imaging on three of our target galaxy groups. This has been the warmest night of our run, with temperatures always above 15C. The sky seemed to brighten considerably around midnight. Transparency degraded from reasonably good to fair. Outside humidity ranged from 45-65%. The corresponding dome relative humidity, however, was inevitably 10-15% higher (something we've wondered about the previous two nights as well). Instruments and software worked well. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2006 Sep 25 [6:15:31]
