MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Apr 19 Observer(s): Werk, Putman Institution(s): University of Michigan Instrument: MkIII Worked for 7 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Clear, Winds Calm End: Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Though the sky was free of clouds, the seeing was poor (at least 2 ) for most of the night. We began the night with easy target acquisition due to great pointing after the replacing the new TCS computer with the old one. At about 11pm, I tried to guide off the slit by offsetting the guide probe. As with previous nights, the focus was a major problem. Please see the trouble report for a detailed summary of the issue. After I half-solved the focus problem, I continued observing for the rest of the night. Overall, I'd say I lost a good hour and a half. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 Apr 20 [5:02:17]
