MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Apr 23 Observer(s): Mangala Sharma & Tom Statler Institution(s): Ohio Univ Instrument: 8k CCD Camera Worked for 6.5 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 7PM until 9PM. Beg: Seeing 1.1 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate, A few thin clouds Mid: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable, Clouds on horizon Observing Summary: Weather was ok, transparency was nothing to write home about. We encountered trouble with the CCD controller communications; see the detailed trouble report. On a positive note, the grounding pattern in the CCD data is now reduced by about half, thanks to prompt attention by Bob and Steven earlier in the day.
