MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Aug 31 Observer(s): eve armstrong Institution(s): columbia Instrument: templeton/direct Worked for 9.5 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.7 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 2.2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing 2.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Opened on time, got an hour-long time series before closing for rain at ~ 21:30. Opened about an hour later - cirrus for a while longer, then beautifully clear for the rest of the night. Got three time series. Seeing was pretty awful after the rain was over. 'A Taxidermist's Frustration' Too quick to catch the lizards be, A-scuttlin' all around. Too high they coast, the birds I see - They rarely touch the ground. Scorpions, a dime a dozen: Too small to be fitting. Accommodate? This mountain doesn't; P'haps I'll take up knitting. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 Sep 1 [4:38:29]
