MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Dec 28

Worked for 2 hours (part of the night)
Bad weather most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   High Humidity from 2300 until 0600.
   Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm
   Mid: Cirrus, Winds Calm
   End: Clear, Winds Calm

Observing Summary:

Observed one object at start of the night, then had to close due 
to cloud cover at 2035. Weather became clear again around 2300 but 
outside humidity was 77% and the dome A/C computer was reading a 
dome humidity of 85%. Opening the shutter and vents  with mirror 
cover closed only caused dome humidity to rise even after letting 
equilibrate for over an hour.

The dome humidity indicator on the window only read 70-75% humidity 
in the dome, I'm not sure why the computer was reading 15-20% 
more.
