MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Feb 28 Observer(s): Tannirkulam & Zhao Institution(s): Michigan Instrument: CCDS Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 2.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1.6 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 2.5-3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: We obtained low res spectra on about a dozen targets tonight. The sky was clear although seeing was bad throughout the night. We had problems with the telescope positioning early in the morning. Once the star was acquired into the CCDS slit viewing camera we could not move the star into the slit. Each time we tried paddling the star into the slit, the telescope would acquire big offsets and throw the star out of the slit viewer field of view. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 Mar 1 [6:31:36]
