MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Jan 03 Observer(s): K. Schlesinger Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDCOM Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 0.8 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.25 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Weather was fine all night. Had difficulty with the telescope pointing again. Went through it with Paul and was able to point; that lost about half an hour. Lost around an hour when the dome was not moving as it would. Bob helped me reset the azimuth, etc. and dome was fine from that point on. Got good observations of 6 galaxies in the 663 and 693 filters. Of the other two galaxies observed, one had dome problems, and it was getting too light out for the other. Seeing from 0.8 to 1.5 over the course of the night. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 Jan 4 [7:26:50]
