MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Jan 09 Observer(s): Jules Halpern Institution(s): Columbia U, Instrument: CCDS/RETROCAM Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 0.7 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 0.8 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 0.8 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: A night of excellent seeing but cirrus clouds getting worse toward morning. Images of a few SNe, and lots of lensed QSOs were taken. The former were limited by lack of web access in the first half of the night. The guder parity has changed since last time. Please see separate trouble report and explain. Also, the mirror ended up a bit too warm, because it wasn't cooled until late in the day. Please make sure that the mirror is being cooled all day. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 Jan 10 [6:17:46]
