MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Jun 22 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: echelle CCD direct + 2in FW Worked for 9 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 0.9 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 2. arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1. arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: A fine night, mostly, photometric all night. Seeing was highly variable, with long stretches of very good seeing down to 0.7 arcsec at times and patches of poor seeing interspersed. A bubble of air with more-than-zero humidity came over -- not a cause for concern, but the mix of different humidity and temp seemed to affect the seeing. The dome returned to the contacts within a few inches at the end of the night, much closer than the previous two and enough to make electrical contact without any adjustment. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 Jun 23 [5:23:16]
