MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Jun 29 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Modspec + echelle CCD Worked for 9 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 0.9 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 0.9 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Another fine night, no problems with the equipment. Winds kicked up a bit in the afternoon, and seeing was mediocre as the temperature dropped after sunset, but things settled down nicely after a while. Full moon, but fortunately I had targets that were bright enough to stand it. Some cloud far to south at sunset, but they never got here, and with this moon I would have noticed any cloud at all. As always with spectroscopy, the seeing is nothing but a guess. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 Jun 30 [5:07:09]
