MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Nov 09 Observer(s): J. Prieto and L. Watson Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS and Retrocam Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 0.9 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 0.7 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: We noticed that the CCDS bias pattern had returned before we started observing. We found a fix for the problem, but it's probably not permanent (see trouble report for more details). We had a few other hiccups during the night. For those whose data we have collected, you should beware that some data was taken with an E-W slit (somehow we didn't realize this until about 10pm) and some data does not have correct RA, Dec, and observing time in the header (see log for details about which objects this affects). The weather cooperated tonight though. We had great seeing the whole night and especially excellent seeing towards the end of the night! It looks like someone else already submitted a report for November 8. We'll put this as the report for November 9 so their report won't be deleted. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 Nov 9 [5:43:45]
