MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Nov 11 Observer(s): Prieto & Watson Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS and Retrocam Worked for 9 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 3.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm, high humidity End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Overcast, Winds Calm Observing Summary: The seeing oscillated between terrible and okay (max: 3.5 , min 1.2 ) tonight. We were able to observe many of our targets, but we're not sure how useful the data will be because of the seeing. Clouds moved in at about 3:30am and the sky became completely overcast. We were not able to keep a guide star for more than a minute, the humidity was going up, and no break in the clouds looked to be on its way from the satellite images, so we closed up at 4:15am. At least it makes you appreciate a great night more when you have one like this every now and then. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 Nov 12 [4:48:16]
