MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Sep 07 Observer(s): Atlee & Eastman Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS Worked for 7.0 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 1900 until 2230. Beg: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 0.96 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 0.91 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Aside from heavy cloud cover at the beginning of the night, our observations went relatively smoothly. We recorded observations from one M-dwarf binary (J2327+5015), an eclipsing binary in M31 and go imaging data using Retrocam of a BL Lac (OJ287). We also recorded detailed calibration sets for the central wavelength set to 7000 Angstroms. We noticed at the beginning of the night that the Prospero control panel indicated that the TCSLink was down, and it remained so throughout the night. This did not affect data-taking beyond the time required to determine that this was a readout bug rather than a genuine communication problem. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 Sep 8 [6:53:43]
