MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2008 Aug 29

Instrument: modspec + echelle CCD

Worked for 1.5 hours (part of the night)
Conditions were Overcast most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds all night.
   Beg: Overcast, Winds Calm
   Mid: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable
   End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate

Observing Summary:

Cloudy all night -- no rain, and humidity OK, but just cloudy. 
There were some rainstorms around early, but they moved off to 
the west and lingered, throwing up debris clouds.

At end there was a brief usable interval and I did manage to get
a few spectra.
