MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2008 Feb 08 Observer(s): Nathan Crockett and John Tobin Institution(s): University of Michigan Instrument: 8K Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.7 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Good weather seeing was 1-1.7 arcseconds. Took sky flats at the beginning of the night. We observed several fields in Orion, NGC2264, and Landolt standards. Seeing got better towards the end of the night. Just before I was going to take sky flats at dawn, the mirror support pc gave an error (described in trouble report). We thought the error was serious enough that we called Bob and didn't do any flats. We stowed the telescope like normal with the mirror support PC shutdown. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2008 Feb 9 [7:29:26]
