MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2008 Feb 17 Observer(s): Statler, Riethmiller, Cotto-Figueroa Institution(s): Ohio Univ. Instrument: Direct/Echelle and Retrocam Worked for 12.0 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 0.9 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: Finally had a full night to continue our program of NEA photometry. Observed our first target with Retrocam-- in good seeing! --until it got too close to the moon and was washed out by moonlit sky. Since all our other targets for the night were faint we switched to Echelle. All went well until the seeing suddenly changed from 0.8 to 3 arcsec at 11:30 PM. The rest of the night we struggled with seeing no better than 1.5 arcsec. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2008 Feb 18 [7:29:21]
