MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2008 Jan 02 Observer(s): Maria Pereira Institution(s): Columbia University Instrument: 8k Worked for 7 hours (off and on through the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 12 until 7. Beg: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1.6 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Night started out fairly clear with reasonably good seeing (1.4 ), but the conditions deteriorated throughout the night. At midnight a bank of clouds rolled in from the East, and observations were only possible on and off through the occasional hole.
