MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2008 Jan 04

Worked for 3 hours (part of the night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds all night.
   Beg: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate
   Mid: Overcast, Winds Moderate
   End: Overcast, Winds Moderate

Observing Summary:

Sunset was very cloudy but by 8.30pm the sky cleared up a little. Took several long exposures in B band of a galaxy group, with good seeing, until about 11pm, at which time it got too cloudy. Opened up again around 1.30 am, when there was a brief break in the weather, but by 2.30 it was again overcast. 
It's now 3.30 am and the conditions have not improved and are not likely to according to the forecasts, so I am shutting down for the night.
