MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2008 Jan 30 Observer(s): Statler, Riethmiller, Cotto-Figueroa Institution(s): Ohio Univ. Instrument: Direct/Echelle and Retrocam Worked for 8 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: High Humidity from start until 10:30. Beg: Seeing 2.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: High humidity at the beginning of the night kept us from opening until around 10:45 pm, but the rest of the night was clear. Observed with Echelle for about 3.5 hours, then switched to Retrocam to attempt extremely-high-frame-rate photometry of close-passing asteroid 2007TU24. Observed for about 2.5 hours and obtained 520 images at up to 4 per minute (5 s exposures). Reduction will be interesting.
