MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2008 Jun 10 Observer(s): John Tobin Institution(s): Michigan Instrument: TIFKAM Worked for 8 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Had an overall good night, observed 3 protostars deeply in Ks and H_2 filters, L483, IRAS 16253-2429, L1251B. At the start of the night the guide camera was not working, the power cord running to the box on the MIS was a little loose. Also, the RA track seemed to be lagging by about 2.8 per minute. I increased the track rate to 15.0487 to compensate. That made things much nicer on my offset sky frames where I don't guide. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2008 Jun 11 [5:17:44]
