MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2008 Jun 23 Observer(s): J. Thorstensen, J. Skinner Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Modspec + echelle CCD Worked for 9 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: All told a good night, but interrupted at times by high clouds blorched up by a huge system down in Mexico. Seeing was quite good and the guider focus held its position just fine. Windy at times, above 20 mph, but nothing too alarming. We can now do real-time velocity reductions and were able to watch the velocity curve of an SDSS CV develop as we watched, so we already know we have a result. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2008 Jun 24 [5:04:43]
