MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2008 Mar 03 Observer(s): Kay et al. Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: CCDS Worked for 10 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Everything worked well. We noticed that the temperatures reported for the dome, primary, etc., were way off (like 35 C) when we were preparing to open. When we opened the mirror cover the temperatures were magically all correct. Skies were very clear, perhaps photometric, but the seeing in the middle of the night was very poor, which slowed us down. The seeing improved as twilight approached. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2008 Mar 4 [6:14:55]
