MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2008 Mar 07 Observer(s): Milisavljevic Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: CCDS Worked for 9 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: A fairly good night of observing. Seeing was around 1.5 arcsec (sometimes much worse, especially at the start of the evening). Faint targets were difficult to acquire. Winds were moderate at the start then abated considerably past midnight. Temperature jumped up and down more than I prefer. Clouds rolled in around 5am and I closed up. I noticed last night that the dark hatch no longer makes that satisfying 'pop' when closed. Too bad. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2008 Mar 8 [5:29:20]
